Cookie Usage
This page explains what the yclgames.com website stores in your browser and which third-party services it uses. The Mozaik Blast mobile app handles data separately — see the Privacy Policy.
1. Essential Storage (Not Cookies)
The following are kept in your browser's local storage, are never sent to a server, and cannot be turned off — the site needs them to work:
- yclTheme — your light/dark theme preference.
- ycl_consent — your choice on the cookie banner (accept/decline), so the banner is not shown on every visit.
- ycl_visit_notified — makes sure the visit notification is sent only once per session (cleared when the session ends).
2. Analytics Cookies — Consent Based
The site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID: G-9PNKW4GSY3) to understand how many people visit and which pages they read.
- Google Consent Mode is in use: until you accept on the cookie banner, analytics and advertising storage are set to denied, so no cookies are written for those purposes.
- If you accept, Google Analytics writes its own cookies (_ga, _ga_*) and your visit is measured.
- To change your choice, clear this site's data in your browser; the banner will be shown again.

3. Visit Notification
On the home page, the path of the page being viewed (for example /) is sent to our own server (a Cloudflare Worker) so the studio gets a "someone visited the site" notification. This request is sent only once per browser session, uses no cookies, and contains nothing that identifies you. As with any internet request, your IP address technically reaches the server; it is not used to build a profile.
4. Updates List Form
If you enter your email address in the updates form on the home page and submit it, the address is stored on our own server (a Cloudflare Worker) and used only for new game announcements. Nothing is sent if you do not fill in the form. To be removed from the list, email yclpixels@gmail.com.
5. Advertising Cookies
This website shows no advertising and uses no advertising cookies. (The Mozaik Blast mobile app does show ads; that is explained in the Privacy Policy.)
